If you bring your own boat to Lake Yelcho, please ensure you comply with all regulations set by the Chaitén Harbour Authority, as regular checks are carried out on the lake.
You may launch your boat from the dock in front of the hotel and leave the trailer in the same area. Please, once your boat is in the water, move your vehicle to the parking area and do not leave it by the lake.
Upon returning from your excursion, you must retrieve your boat along with its trailer. If you wish to leave it moored at our dock, please contact reception in advance, as strict rules apply for the use of this private space.
We recommend carrying a radio and familiarising yourself with the lake’s communication frequencies, especially the Enlace channel. It is also advisable to inform reception of the area of the lake you plan to visit, so that in case of any emergency, our staff can immediately notify the authorities.
