Our Cabins

Our cabins are located 200 metres from the hotel, following the same entrance road. To access them, please collect your key at reception.

How to reach your cabin

From the main entrance, follow the road heading east:
  • First, you will cross a bridge.
  • Then, a second bridge.
After the second bridge:
  • Take the first left turn to reach Cabins 1 and 2.
  • The second left turn leads to Cabins 3 and 4.
  • If you continue straight, you will find Cabins 5 and 6 at the end of the road.

πŸ“Β See Map here.

If you carry on along the same road, you will first reach our vegetable garden, then the farm, and finally reconnect with the main road, completing a circular route.

🏑 Welcome to Your Cabin

Once you have collected your key at reception and arrive at your cabin, everything will be ready for you to begin your stay.
  • The cabin should already be warmed up, as the gas heating is left on as a precaution, especially on colder days.
  • If you arrive at night, the cabin should also be lit for your comfort and safety.
πŸ‘‰ If you notice that the heating is not working or the cabin is in darkness, please inform reception immediately so we can assist you as quickly as possible.

πŸ₯“ Winter Breakfast + Add-ons + Meals + Drinks

For reservations between May 1 and September 30, the cabin rate includes a welcome breakfast, offered once only on the day of arrival. Here are the details:

πŸ“ž How to Contact Reception

During your stay, you can contact our reception team in the following ways:
  • By WhatsApp: using the number provided at check-in.
Reception: πŸ“ž +56988337355
Management: πŸ“ž +56993582414
  • In person: directly at the hotel reception, open daily from 8:00 am to midnight.

⏰ Outside Reception Hours

Unfortunately, we do not have permanent night staff on duty. However, in the event of an emergency, you may:
  • Send a message to the same WhatsApp number (it will be attended as soon as possible).
  • Go to the hotel reception and press the emergency button, located next to the security camera at the entrance. This will alert authorised staff.

πŸ”₯ Heating and Wood-Burning Stove

All cabins are equipped with:
  • Heating system, which will be on upon your arrival.
  • Wood-burning stove, which you may light yourself or ask our housekeeping staff to light for you. If you request assistance, it is customary to leave a voluntary tip as a token of thanks.

🍳 Kitchen and Facilities

The cabins come with a fully equipped kitchen. If you notice anything missing or need extra utensils, please contact reception.
They are also fitted with a barbecue grill; if you would like charcoal or utensils, these are available on request.

🌐 Internet and Entertainment

  • All cabins offer Starlink internet and Smart TVs.
  • Please note that while the connection is suitable for emails, social media, and general browsing, it may not always be ideal for live streaming.

🚽 Wastewater System

We operate a wastewater treatment plant located in the forest to the right of the cabins. To protect this system:
  • Do not dispose of solid waste in the toilet (e.g. sanitary products, nappies, etc.).
  • Please use the bin provided for such items.

🧹 Housekeeping

  • Daily cleaning is optional. If you would like this service, please inform the housekeeping staff directly or notify reception.
  • If you require dishwashing service, please request this in advance so it can be arranged.

⚑ In Case of a Power Cut

Power cuts may occasionally occur, either due to an external supply issue or an internal fault within the cabin.

πŸ”Œ Internal automatic cut-off

In the kitchen, on one of the walls, you will find a circuit breaker. This may trip if high-consumption appliances such as the microwave and kettle are used simultaneously.
πŸ‘‰ If power goes out only in your cabin:
  1. Check the circuit breaker in the kitchen.
  1. If it is down, simply switch it back up.
  1. Avoid using both appliances at the same time to prevent future outages.
If the power cut is external, our generator should restore electricity within about 20 seconds.

πŸ”₯ Common Issue: The Water Heater

Another issue that may arise is with the hot water heater. If you notice that the water is not heating properly or the heater will not ignite, please inform reception immediately or contact our maintenance team using the QR code in your cabin (linked to their WhatsApp).
This issue usually occurs due to low water pressure from the mountain supply.

🌐 Cabin Internet

Each cabin has its own internet connection, but due to the remote nature of our location and the satellite-based Starlink service, disruptions may occasionally occur.

πŸ“Ά Why might it fail?

  • Overload: when many devices are connected at once, especially with heavy use (videos, video calls, etc.).
  • Weather conditions: heavy rain or storms may temporarily affect the satellite signal.
  • Technical factors: as with any network, occasional connection issues can arise.

πŸ†˜ What to do if there is no Internet?

If you urgently need a stable connection:
Β
  1. Notify reception so we can check the connection in your cabin.
  1. You may also use the hotel’s common areas, where coverage is usually stronger.
We apologise for any inconvenience. While we do our best to maintain reliable connectivity, sometimes Patagonia makes its own rules.

πŸ—οΈ History

πŸ›Œ Our cabins have nearly 40 years of history and have been witnesses to countless experiences by Lake Yelcho.
Although we carry out maintenance and improvements every season, the Patagonian climate – with harsh winters, constant rain, and relentless southern winds – inevitably affects the structures and materials.
We know the cabins are not new, and indeed we dream of renovating or building new ones in the near future. In the meantime, these are the ones we cherish and proudly share.
We kindly ask that you treat them with the same respect and care you would give to a home that is not your own, but which welcomes you with open arms. If you notice any issue, please report it to reception: we are here to help.
Thank you for understanding, and for helping us continue sharing this unique corner of the world with more people.
